San Diego State University

San Diego State University representatives from science, health and engineering will provide engaging and interactive activities for students and families of all ages. Touch urchins wearing hats, code your own bracelet, build neurons out of pipe cleaners, explore the solar system in virtual reality and more! Learn directly from the SDSU researchers and innovators leading San Diego to new heights in STEM.

California State University Program for Biotechnology (CSUBIOTECH)

Host a booth to showcase the work of biotechnology in the Cal State University system. CSUBIOTECH provides grants and awards, organizes the annual CSU Biotechnology Symposium, promotes industry-responsive curricular innovations, and serves as a liaison between the CSU and government, regional and biotechnology industry partners, including philanthropic partners.

U.S. Naval Academy

Midshipmen from the United States Naval Academy mentor you through your choice of several hands- on, interactive science and engineering modules for all ages. The diverse subject matter planned includes a range of STEM topics including chemistry, aerodynamics, electricity, logic, and robotics.

NASA JPL

NASA Eyes - Experience Earth, our solar system, nearby asteroids, the universe, and the spacecraft exploring them with immersive real-time 3D web-based apps for Mac, PC and mobile devices. You can also build a Psyche spacecraft model and learn about NASA's Earth Science program.

Urban Discovery Academy

Students will be showcasing learning, including Squishy Circuits and Lego Mindstorms Robots. Visiting attendees will have the opportunity to connect wires and playdough to light up a lightbulb while as they learn about electricity and circuits. Attendees can also engage in a robot race and hear about how they can use coding to design and drive robots.

CART Youth Foundation-C.A.R.T. FTC 23280

CART Youth Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. Our mission is to empower and uplift the youth, equip them with skills, values, mindset needed to succeed and make a positive contribution to the communities. C.A.R.T FTC 23280 under CART Youth is the community competitive robotics team made up of 7th to 10th graders who has mission to inspire students to explore STEM through the hands-on experience of designing, building, and programming robots while having fun in the process.

Mechanical Advantage

Mechanical Advantage is a nonprofit corporation and FIRST Tech Challenge robotics team. Mechanical Advantage has been supporting this event since 2019 by providing hands-on robotics experiences for attendees of all ages. Attendees can have fun learning about robotics while operating table-top robots and driving a small, crowd friendly robot with soft tires that was designed just for large events like this. We have historically operated out of a 10’x10’ space.

Magnolia Science Academy San Diego

We will have two booths. At one booth, we will have various science projects being demonstrated including an air cannon! Guests will be invited to try out the cannon for themselves. At the other booth, we will have VEX Robotics, Lego Robotics, and underwater robotics. At this station, guests will also be guided by our students in creating their own bristle bots!

Booth design & activity is still TBD as this is our first year participating in the event. Our new "local" marketing team will start evaluating options in the next 30 - 45 days.
